Inspiring Future Builders & Engineers at PC Lujan Career Day

On February 20, 2026, PFM’s Design Project Manager, Cyril Amaranto, visited PC Lujan Elementary School in Barrigada to represent our team for Career Day. Speaking to 3rd through 5th graders, Cyril shared his personal evolution, from a child who loved building with cardboard boxes to a professional managing complex construction projects. His presentation bridged the gap between childhood hobbies and the real-world skills we use every day at PFM.

Cyril kept the energy high by showcasing the "many hats" an architect wears, from being a creative designer and "shopper" for materials to serving as a site engineer. The students were particularly captivated by the technology, they got hands-on experience with laser measures and T-squares, and were blown away by AutoCAD and Lumion demonstrations.

Seeing a simple line transform into a 3D model was a major highlight, with many students comparing the real-time rendering to their favorite video games.

Beyond the tech, the day focused on the fundamentals of our industry: Safety and Teamwork. Cyril introduced the kids to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), while our Business Development team led a fun activity that tested the students' planning and problem-solving skills.

Cyril closed the session by reminding the students that every great structure, including

their own school, started as a simple idea on paper, encouraging them to one day build their own futures. The event was a resounding success, leaving the students (and Cyril!) feeling inspired about the possibilities of construction and design.
